Vol Walker Renovation/Expansion Documentation (Draft)

The Vol Walker building renovation documentation is an ongoing, joint research project between the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST) and University of Arkansas Facilities Management. CAST has collaborated with FAMA and the Vol Walker renovation general contractor(s), Baldwin Shell, Inc., to survey all exterior and interior spaces within Vol Walker during three phases (Pre-Demolition, Mid-Construction and Final Condition) of the renovation and expansion project. The pre-demolition high-density scanning of the exterior and interior spaces has been completed and CAST staff is currently completing the Mid-Construction HighDensity Survey’s while exploring current and emerging technologies related to the distribution and sharing of the survey datasets.

These draft datasets (photography and high-density, 3-d point cloud surveys) have been published as part of our internal review and evaluation of the existing Leica TruView viewers.
